Waiver of premium

Published 31 October 2021 · updated 3 October 2026 · Written or reviewed by Christophe Bouin

Waiver of premium is a guarantee: if disability meets the contract, the insurer keeps paying the premiums. It is not a voluntary pause, and it does not replace OASI disability benefits or a 2nd-pillar disability pension.

Choosing to stop: stopping premiums.

The wider frame is the Swiss third pillar.
