Credit the pillar 3a before 31 December

Published 20 October 2026 · updated 20 October 2026 · Written or reviewed by Christophe Bouin

A pillar 3a order given on 28 December can fall into the next year if the bank or insurer does not credit the account in time. The FSIO says the deduction follows the credit date, not the date of the order.

The wider frame is the Swiss third pillar.
